CEO OF GROUPE CLINET
A graduate of EDC Business School, Ronan became the manager of Chateau Clinet aged just 23. He has implemented new strategies for the property, oriented towards a qualitative and environmentally-conscious approach, and has travelled the world meeting consumers and professionals in order to better understand market expectations.
Having trained as an agricultural engineer, Jean-Louis enjoyed his early career successes as a breeder and grain farmer in the Aquitaine area of France. In the early 1980’s he took over the running of his family business in domestic and industrial waste treatment, growing the company to the third largest player in the sector, before it was later sold to an American investor in 1992.
Coming from an agricultural family, Luc has spent his life cultivating a true passion for the raw product and its terroir.
Having earned his spurs at Vignoble Boudon (Entre Deux Mers), he left for Russia to work on a project to create a 300-hectare winery…
This allowed Luc to experience wine-growing, up close and in a start-up context, from the planting to commencing work in the cellars and passing by the vineyards on the way. Upon his return, he became the manager of different properties belonging to Vignobles Bonfils.
It is thanks to his relentless passion, expertise and dedication, not to mention his fun personality, that today Luc is head of production at CLINET. He works hand in hand with Ronan Laborde, following high-precision wine-growing practices, with the aim of producing unique wines that will bring pleasure to the keenest of wine enthusiasts.
